I`ve had this plant a couple of yrs now but don`t know what it is.The flowers are a lovely deep pink and the whole thing droops when in flower.I love it (cause it hasn`t died on me)but i think that`s cause i just leave it alone.
Can anyone tell me it`s name please.

The flower itself looks like a Penstamen. The leaves look a bit too shiney - but that may be a function of the photograph.

Perhaps the flash went off, looks like Penstemon to me too, a beautiful under- used perennial with so many colours.

Yes, looks like a penstemon to me too! With the flash, it's hard to sure of the colour. A lot of them have the names of jewels, like ruby and garnet. It's worth looking at this link to see if you can see which one you've got, Elaine.

BTW, they're not fully hardy, so well worth taking some cuttings just in case it's a hard winter....

Penstemon.Thankyou Peter, Strongy. It was raining when i took the pic,so that probably accounts for the leaves looking shiney. You can bet ya britches i won`t have have the camera on the right setting.(i forget to turn off the flash). Hope i can remember penstemon.
Your right about it being beautiful strongylodon.Just when i think everything is going over this plant comes into it`s own. [IMG]

Your right. It`s true colour is nothing like my pic because of the flash.

Lovely plants, but a bit short lived. Luckily they're really easy to take cuttings from. [IMG]
