My passiflora edulis is happily growing, and I've noticed for a while it has two... things... at the base of each leaf that produce what seem to be water-like droplets. There's nothing wrong with it; I just wondered what the drop-producing bits were, and what they're used for. Does anyone know?

    Yep really need a picture.

Quite a few passion flowers produce what looks like caterpillar eggs, I think I read somewhere its to deter butterflies laying their eggs on the plant.
It could be these you are seeing.
Its a food source for quite a few caterpillars I think.

I think you're right; I've just watched The Private Life of Plants and it showed the "eggs", although mine aren't yellow, they look very similar and are at the same point of the stem as the video.
