    Hi all

My borlotti beans are doing really well but this morning I've noticed that many of their leaves have dry, crunchy curled edges. We can't see any critters so we're a bit perplexed and we're hoping that this isn't a sign of disease. The weather has been very windy and quite cold at times but apart from that we can't think of any potential reason for it!

Does anyone know what this damage to the leaf edges means? Is it a sign of a nutrient deficiency (I hope not as we fed them only the other week!), weather damage or a critter of some kind?

    Thanking you in advance! :)

Hi Paddy, my tomatoes are also like this - I am hoping it is just wind damage as we had gales here at the weekend

It sounds as though it`s wind scorch in both cases. The plants should be fine otherwise.

I never knew wind could scorch leaves! Just shows how much I know. :) Thanks anyway, that's very reassuring.
