We were after some begonia luxurians and despite them being out of stock almost everywhere we located some at he Duchy of Cornwall. A very nice lady helped us out and an order was placed. I had mentioned it to a couple of friends who then said they wanted them so my better half gave the lady a call back, and the order was upped. She kept warning us that the plants were small and not really ready for sale.

Delivery was arranged for today, and the plants duly arrived. They were superb, and the small ones were well worth the price. So i can really recomend plants from them. :thumb:

I have also had lovely plants from here, and always helpful and friendly service. Delivery is pricey so getting together a bigger order is always sensible.:)

We had plants for ourselves and 7 others so the delivery worked out quite reasonable doing it that way.

I used to grow a lot of B. Luxurians at one time as part of a Begonia collection years ago in our Parks Dept Palm House, if I realised how scarce they would become I would have kept them.:(
Still I have another favourite Begonia Listada as compensation.:)

With any luck i'll increase my stock as they should be faily easy from cuttings i would imagine.

Really nice looking plant, very tropical!! And has been hardy for teh last few winters in southern England. Although I will wait till i have some backups before leaving it out.

I dont know Listada, any chance of a pic?
