I went to dudley zoo yesterday its built round a ruined castle the same one as they use on the most haunted programme on the television..Their is a nice wild feel to the place with lots of wild flowers ..a sensory garden which was no longer in flower probably due to the heatwave..and a tropical house for fish and tropical plants..Their is a lot of climbing involved as castles are allways on hills so you feel worn out when you get back..I have been twice this year to take the grandkids and their is a free train to take you to the top if you cant manage the walk...

Absolutely lovely pictures, Wildflower, and I'm sure you had a super day out with the grandkids. A darling baby giraffe and our favourites, the penguins! [IMG] What a colour on the flamingos, wow!

The flower is a Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, the type we grow here ... not me, I am useless with them!
