Dunrobin Castle and Gardens

We visited Dunrobin, 50+ miles north of Inverness on a grey damp day but Mr S and I made the best of it. To be honest I wasn't that impressed with the castle inside. Only allowed to visit approximately fifteen rooms and walking through the adjoining corridors we became bored with all the paintings, with little else to impress considering the size of the castle. Photo's were prohibited.

A bit of a surprise in the car park when we arrived. There were another three or four of these to my right but I couldn't get them all in the shot.

Being so far north colour in the gardens was limited.








There were a number of these frames approximately 15ft high and all had some form of fruit growing, this one below was apple.
