My girlfriend and I bought a Dwarf Jade Bonsai after we killed our last one :oopss:

And it's looked really nice up until this point - it's looking a bit sparse and losing a lot of leaves.

The top of the soil has a white powder (presume it's mildew?) I've stopped watering it now until the top of the soil is dry-ish and it's getting a decent amount of light where it is.

Any ideas? I can provide photos if needed!

    Cheers! :sofa:

Being a succulent, I'm guessing you are drasticly overwatering.

If you have white mould on the surface of the soil, then that is very likely to be the problem.

i tend to think it might well be rotting off at the bottom.

Pete was kind enough to send me a very healthy Jade cutting a few weeks ago - today I wired it up and put it into a pot ready to try and bonsai it (well, keep it as compact as possible)

I'll keep it updated in this thread.
