    Hi All,

Can anyone identify what the below tree is? I know its a fairly common but I have no idea what it is and I'm assuming there's a technique to pruning it as after cutting it last year, its grown misshapen this year!

I held off giving pruning advice as I assumed others would know more than me.
But for what it's worth I'd prune it back now, taking equal amounts off all round.
Best pruned immediately after flowering if possible, so hurry up.
