D'ya know what this is? Nobody around here does!!

Hi Chaps,

I've seen this in at least 3 gardens in my small village, and no one seems to know what it is! It's about 2' high and the leaves near the flowers especially are a blue/gray colour. It's beautiful. I'll add the images below.

It looks like Cerinthe, possibly Major Purpurascens also known as Honeywort.

 

You're right. Just did a search and I think it must be this one:

CERINTHE major 'Purpurascens'

There are a few types of Cerinth too - I don't ever remember seeing it in my life before - and I'm quite old!

Easily grown from seed Springy Ihave a few coming up that have self seeded from last year.
