    I was just clearing up in my borders when I came across these two little beauties.. Earthstar fungi.. The spores for them both must I think have come in with the wood chip mulch I had last year.? Not edible but very attractive. Often dried after the spores have gone and used in xmas wreaths often..

        Absolutely stunning. Never seen these before, or even heard of them, but they are spectacular, and have a lovely name too. Thanks for sharing :smile:

            Fir trees and hardwood debris are where you usually find them @Zigs :thumbsup: just so beautiful..

              Keep a look out for the on your walks @"M" they do like to hide as well if they can so I am told.. :thumbsup:

                        I think I have thought that too in the past @strongylodon when I saw them up at the woodland first.. only now in my garden am I seeing the full wonder.... I just love natures wonders.. :SUNsmile:
