We are in Cornwall in a few weeks and are considering going to the Eden Project. Has anybody been and is it worth a visit?

I went the year after it opened. Considering the cost, I wasn’t that impressed. Probably better now though.

As a matter of interest, what is the cost?

Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty impressive when you first clap eyes on The Biomes, and I really liked the waterfall, I just thought it was expensive. Granted nothing alike, but I much preferred The Lost Gardens Of Heligan.

Has anyone been to both Kew and The Eden Project? be interested for a comparison.
As I've been to Kew a few times, but not recently, but Eden Project seems a long trek.

I visited The Eden Project quite a number of years ago and was glad I went but wouldn't bother again. When in Cornwall we always visit Helligan Gardens which is fabulous.

If you have the 2 for 1 offer through Gardeners World magazine I think you will find Eden in there.

I was at the Eden project the other weekend, I always enjoy visiting and it keeps changing as they try new things. They are currently planting up a large collection of kniphofias. I do have the advantage that I qualify for local membership which reduces the cost massively.
I much prefer Eden to Heligan, I find Heligan concentrates too much on the history for me, while Eden is more plant focussed.
Have been to Kew several times over the years and I'm hoping to see the restored Temperate house at some point in the next 18 months.
Kew has a wider selection of plants and environments compared to Eden, it is a more traditional Botanic Garden. Eden is younger and trying new ideas.
I enjoy both, but if offered a trip to either I would go with Kew.

I have been to both but not for many years. Kew has no car park.
