    On the subject of Stapeliads.
    This is a fantastic species from Kenya and across to parts of Arabia.
    Edithcolea grandis. Some call it the Persian Carpet flower. Not too stinky as far as Staps are concerned.

    Also quite difficult to grow. This plant is no longer with me unfortunately.

      Friend of mine in Italy had this variety with black flower ,
      but as you say are really hard to grow even where is hot and sunny.

      I would really love to see one of those in flower , any advice????

      Sal,
      Edithcolea can be quite variable.
      I also had the dark form (which is more common than the yellow one in the photo), but it died before flowering unfortunately.

      Btw,
      stapelia gigantea, a bit off topic. But keep warm not below 10*c, plenty of sunlight. And it can take a lot of water in the growing season (summer)
