I was clearing weed out of one of my water features (that used to be an old ceramic shower tray) and scooped up a handful of frog:eek: On another note, my daughter's labrador demolished another water feature and ate the pipes It wasn't me, honest.... Let's have another go now she's cobbled it back together with spare parts....
Fmay, im giggling at your pics :D:D:D Love your shower tray pond, and so do the frogs..:thumb: The Dog pics are Hillarious, He/she is a Lovely looking Lab.
You are lucky to have found a live frog, dont know where mine has gone. (probably hopped it) frogs are on the decline
Not in our pond they're not:eek: These are this years taddies - there are no fish in the pond and nothing else seems to predating on them:eek:
They do. there are so many tadpoles "born" in the hopes that at least one will become a fully grown frog. aparently tadpoles andtiny froglets have a lot of natural enemies. but on the whole the frog population is on the decline.
Great pics fmay! I can imagine yur fright at finding a frog - done the same thng myself - I know they will be in and around the pond - but not closer to the house, and I get a fright every time! Your dog pics made me laugh too! Really funny - especially with the last one! So innocent! I make sure I mow from the inside of my lawn to the outside (as Hebridean farmers are encouraged to do to help out the endangered corncrake) to allow froggers to escape into the borders before I come along with my flymo!
