Need some help on getting power to the garden, I want two power points in the garden, one that will be hidden behind the waterfall that i will need to supply the pumps filters and some lights, then the other next to the pergola where i can supply led lights and the hanging lights for the pergola.. Is it possible to buy a weather proof kind of junction box where i can connect multiple power appliances to?

    Cheers

Hi Bigbore. I am not an electrician or pretend to know the regulations.
What JWK has pointed you to is what I got in my garden also. Before all the P regs came in I did install it myself. I have the same as JWK pointed you to but just a 3 switch, I power my pond pump only though as any lights I got are the solar panel type (not the best.

What you must use though is armored cable which is available in Wickes or fleebay etc. I did not connect my cable end to the directly mains but into a 13 amp socket in conservatory.
A Electrician friend of mine uses in his own home and recommends 12 volt lighting as it is much safer. Just as easy to put in but he did tell me not to just buy the cheapest as the fittings sometimes are suspect. I think even the better ones are not too expensive.
Never had or need 13 amp sockets in the garden ,if I am reading you correctly, but again no problem getting a waterproof socket like below, just as an example.
waterproof socket.JPG All outside electrical work will have to be done by an electrician by law.Yes easy to do yourself BUT if an accident happens then insurance will not pay out and to be blunt if someone is electrocuted. If you decide to sell the house all electrical installations will have to be checked by an electrician to prove to potential buyer all electrical fittings & installations are safe.
I am sure there is a current or ex sparky who could tell the the specific law.I sometimes ask my friend by email if this is safe to do or that or best way to do an electrical job. Most times he will not even reply because if he told me how to do something and something went wrong then I could in theory blame him, do not blame him.
