Embarrassingly enough not a bamboo, but what is it?

I posted this morning in another section asking why the leaves on my bamboo are turning white. I have been informed that it's not a bamboo. How embarrassing.

Any ideas?

There are small spikes at the bottom of the stems at regular intervals.

 

the nearest thing I can see in my house plant book, ( I am assuming its a house plant for some reason!!) is asparagus falcatus. It sas it has spikes on the stem. this webpage has some close up photo's, does it look like yours??

Can't really get my eyes into the photo but it reminds me of a young Choisya 'Aztec Pearl', but I don't think it is

 

Asparagus Falcatus it is, then!

The photos match up and looking at further information around the web it seems I have a stunning, herbaceous vine with huge twining stems that climb to 15 feet.
