Why won't they stay where they're put? Whether it's on the ancient laptop (XP) or the more recent PC (Vista) they jump to the beginning of the reply. Is this a conspiracy to stop me using too many? The odd one or two in the right place would be jolly!

Blimey, wonder what was making it go wrong that's now stopped running? Maybe the Dinatron scared it away? [IMG]

          Happens to me sometimes :)

Do you double check the cursor is at the point you want to "insert" the emoticon when you click it? I don't always, and most times I don't need to, but those times when it pops itself at the start of the reply *that's* when I need to double check where my cursor is in the reply box.

Can't hurt to try :blue thumb:

It was happening to me on some of the computers I was using when I was away. I never figured it out.

Never, ever, ever.....I'm thinking of putting in a claim against GC for a new keyboard, or at least a new 'entrée' key;)

Right..perhaps it's the sheer popularity of the forum, M. All those little microwaves battling to be first to the post:)

I have the same issues with Emoticons and also issues with the reply button, sometimes taking up to six hits before it functions. This has only happened since the introduction of Xenforo though. Trying to upload pictures has always been a nightmare for me through all the updates to GC's site over the last eighteen months or so.

                Sympathies, Sheal...isn't it frustrating?

Yes, it's very frustrating, more so in the Games Arena. So often people beat me to it because of the reply button and then I have to think again!
