Emptying bucket had a nasty fright

It was mild and sunny so i was tiding up yard, i emptied a bucket of water that was in the yard ,it also had some leaves in it as i was empting it yuk i saw a black rat quite big i t made me jump although it was dead it made me sick just think i could have put my hand in bucket to fetch the leaves out and i could have picked the rat up the thought of it makes me cringe anyway wrapped it up in news paper without touching it and then disposed of it so be careful when empting containers in back yard anything could be lurking in the container or bucket

Yuk!! That reminds me of the time I was rushing around catching up on chores . It was early evening and I still had the rabbit pen to clean out and the light was fading fast, I was quickly pulling out hay from the big sack and as I pulled out my hand I saw that I had hold of a partially skeletise rat.....boy did I scream!!!

Had to come in for a stiff drink to recover from the ordeal!! So I can fully empathise with your traumatic experience @Janet mahay

 

The cat must have seen him on roof and chased him and it fell off the varanah roof cause the bucket at the bottom the cat wouldn't put it in the bucket it was yuk so glad though it was not alive i hope never to see that again but i learnt now on i be careful when emptying containers full of water
