just thought I would put this up as i am feeling a little sad i am loosing my car which i have had for 12 years :( it has taken me over 2 years to part with it and now i have finally plucked you the courage to phone a garage to come and take it away it has been sitting doing nothing for over 2 years but as you will see from the pics it is still in pretty good condition considering its age. I just hope they do not just distroy it all it needs done to it is the code put back on then it should go but saying that it hasnt moved for a while so it might of seized up by now. You will notice all the cob webs and muck but apart from that it looks pretty good.

You must be sad, Sunshine, and you certainly looked after her well.

I remember parting with my 1972 Austin Sprite convertible after 17/18 years and it was a very sad day for me. However, she had been sitting in the garage and was going to have a new body put on her but she had seized up and the wheels locked.

    My sympathies are with you.

I assume you have something else you are now driving? [IMG]

Hi Sunshine.Your car does look in very good condition for it's age and mileage.

Can I ask you what you mean by having the code put back on.I am a bit confused to say the least.

Can't you sell it to someone thta has just passed their test and is looking for a little run around.

We had a 626 Mazada that we had for donkeys years and that had 162,000 on the clock, but finally let us down so Emmy had to go to make way for Mandy the Mondeo

I do hope that it all turns out ok for you [IMG]

Hi Kandy sorry missed your post but what i mean by the code is that the car and the key have a code and if the car looses its code the key will not work, you have to take the keys to a garage to recode the key so the car will start, it is for security reasons but not good for me at the time because i have to put a special code in with the acceorator and if i get it wrong have to start all over again. Car people will understand but so annoying, anyway my newphew was going to have the car but he is not old enough so decided it has been standing there for over two years so farewell to my baby. Sorry been a bit long winded but if you dont know explantions need be told. so there you are now you know or do you [IMG]  :D :D

Yes, I can see all your pics. My car, that is a lot older than yours, is still going great. I am expecting it to just keel over and die one day. It's a K reg.

I have an older vehicle than yours ..... A 1964 Series II Land Rover SWB, goes like a dream, he last time I started it, it hadn't been run for about a year, and the battery had gone flat, put a bit of fuel down the carb, got the starting handle out (you heard right, a starting handle) , turned it over a couple of times, and it fired up [IMG] .

    I bought a Rover SD1 3500 V8 on Sunday ........ On top of that, I bought a Nissan 300ZX about a month ago.

The drive is getting VERY cluttered :D

and the neighbours don't like the Rover, or should I say the custom twin exit exhaust it has :D

Hi Sunshine I can see your photo's they are still ok on here.Mr Kandy explained to me the bit about the code. What a shame because it looks a fantastic small car which would have doen someone a good turn and given you some cash in your pocket.I expect you will never find out the outcome of what happens to it.It is a pity you couldn't have sold it for spares.

PS I have just scrolled back up and some of the photos are still there and some have gone.Just boxes with crosses in them

Morning Sunshine. I lost some of the pictures last night to crosses but they are all back today. [IMG]

I don't think the code has ever "gone off" on mine. I've only had Isabel a week (sigh, I'm in love with her) but it's the same code she was given when she was new. Do you need me to look in the manual to see how to re-code?
