    Well the results are in folks... It was a a tie between Ace of Spades & myself this month for 1st place..!! Plus a Tie for 2nd place Between Dave W & DorsetMike..!!:eek::D As I am running the comp I would like to hand it over to Ace of Spades..!:)

    :thumb: So it is a big win for Ace of Spades with his " Over Flow ".... Well done Ace..! :) A really atmospheric photo that I think allot of us will relate to this summer..!!:)

    :( No no.. I hate to have it wrong.. Jolly good thing you did say as I had also left another very worthy person off too. I always like to be told if you feel any of it is wrong...! :(

    :o I also have to apologise to L o L as well, another worthy winner I didn't put on the list, but have put that right too now.. I am so sorry L o L, very naughty of me..:(

    Thanks to everyone who voted for me and thanks for the congratulations, I'm still:D. The dam in the photo is about 150 yds from the house, fortunately a lot lower. I took this photo this morning

    the water level had been about 3 feet higher during the night and had been up to the deck of this bridge which is about 25 yds down stream from the dam and the bottom of the deck stands over 6 feet above the stream bed.

    On a wet day the water level can go from this to the height of the bridge deck in less than two hours, the stream (Waren Burn) drains a large area of moorland above the house, the dam was built to provide water for the old sawmill (dissused)at the bottom of our garden.
