[IMG] Well done to Ivory for last months winning picture "Sleigh Ride"....![IMG]

Ivory has given us another great theme for this month...
"Sunshine" and in Ivory's own words as she expresses it so well...!

"In February the sun is especially precious to me as the long, old winter slowly turns towards spring... a corner of the room getting a sliver of sunlight or sunset, a tiny starry dot in a drop of dew, a magical dawn brushing on the fields... every bit of sun light is a treasure".
:yho:

:thmb: This theme will I am sure cover everybody in GC very well...You are all so good at interpreting the themes in your own individual ways..!!! I am sure this gives everyone a chance to photograph & do something special"..!!

[IMG]So come on everyone & have a go...!! There could be some very interesting pictures from you all with this theme I think..!!

Good luck

Can everyone please look at Guideline 6 before entering as there is a slight change. Just about everyone does it anyway I know. Allot of you have commented on how it helps when trying to make decisions on votes, if they are included. So we have made it part of the competition now to keep everything fair & square for everyone...!

A Competition for Enhanced Photographic Images.

For Photos taken within the given month, enhance/improved with the use of post picture processing software.

Reasons you may wish to enhance a photo could be to compensate for mistakes made when taking the photo, or indeed to change its atmosphere completely. For example reverting to black and white or maxing out the contrast for a really vibrant sunset.

To ensure we have common starting place for competing, a few ground rules have been established. These will ensure a common standard of submission and ensure photographs are comparable for voting at the end of the month

Please follow the guidelines below:-

1.All entries to be submitted by 23.59Hrs on the last day of the month of the competition.
2. You can enter up to three (3) pictures.
3. Give your picture a title
4. Post your photos within this thread for entry into the competition.
5.Photos have to be taken within the current competition month & year

* "Competitors are advised that they should ensure that their camera's time and date function is set correctly as EXIF data attached to most images is available to moderators and other competitors. *

6.You CAN use software for enhancement or manipulation of a single original image . This may include submission of an image comprising multiple layers of the original image.
Any image deemed to be more than one single image of multi layers, will be deleted.. Mods decision is final.
6a Please include a small thumbnail of the original photo no more than 150 pixels & a short explanation of what modifications you have done...

7. The winner will be decided by votes by the users of the forum.

8. The winner of the competition gets to choose the theme for the next month's competition. This theme is to be kept a separate & different theme from the" Current Monthly Photo Comp" theme.

Please post discussion for this months pictures and about the competition here.
..

:thmb: The very best of luck to you all this month !!

Created 2nd layer and then erased parts of it with cloud shaped brush. Applied slight gausian blur and a very small highlight to water drop on petal. :

Will You Stop Playing Hard To Get and Come Indoors!

Hardly any enhancement. Just a slight crop, a sharpen and adjustment to brightness. So can I be excused posting the original cos it doesn't look much different?
