I must express my very heartfelt thanks to Dave W for passing me the honour to chose a theme for the January competition! I gives me the chance to see everyone's take on a subject very dear to me, so it is quite a worthy gift !!! :)

This morning I was out clicking at the hoarfrost when a jingle-jingle-jingle pierced the air, and down the road came my neighbour (two houses down the road) with his Orlov trotter all decked in little bells, and a sleigh!!!! Talk about the magic of winter!! I had a ride in the sleigh in the enchanted white landscape and I honestly felt liken I had fallen straight into a fairytale!!!

And this is a very funny picture of my neighbours horse looking DOWN on my two ponies. Mind they are smaller than him, but not that small! The perspective is very weird. :)

Now that is a real seasonal scene:)....That's brought fond memories of the pony in our village pulling a wheeled sled filled with us kiddies in as we went Carol singing.:luv:
    Lucky you!

    Yep I am lucky!

For all the mess with the landlady I feel blessed to have had the chance of living in this place, that is pretty much the loveliest, most peaceful place one can imagine, with countryside in every direction and wild woods just out of the door, and some pretty quaint, otherworldly carachters. It's lovely.

This neighbour of mine (Bernd) has a small collection (five I think) of old coaches (one century old, and beautifully restored, I went to see them in detail, wow) that he drives in summer (for hobby) and two sleighs for winter. When I was first working in the garden, inMarch, or April I think, I looked up to a clippety-clop sound to see this beautiful white coach pulled by two horses passing on the street. I felt I had come to Heaven!!! :) Sometimes he drives friends for weddings, and he drives "Santa Claus" through the village in December if there is snow. He is really the "spirit" of the village for me!

Marley, thanks, yes the Blondies ARE indeed quite the little crackers, I can't believe How fast we came to be great mates. Still lots to learn about each other but they are without doubts a grand furry gift to my life!!! :)

Sorry I am not posting pics of the actual sleigh, which is very cute, but I am a bit reluctant to post pics of my neighbours on the net without asking them first! :)

I have another question for you.....Is there anything you can't do in the enhanced, I have a pic I've been playing with but have distorted it quite a bit and without looking at the origional you can't tell what it is, My feer is that it's more arty then enhanced, can I send it to someone to see if it's ok? I know this is all meant to be a bit of fun but I do worry that I'm going to get something wrong..

P.s. does anyone know how to get a pic off of photo bucket back on the the pc as that's where I edited it and want it to print off myself.

You right click and save the pic. Easy as that. My computer talks to me in italian (damn it) so I amnot sure what your menu will say exactly there is something like Salva immagine con nome (save image with name?). You do that, chose a folder and there you have it.

I've done it now, I'd just like someone to check it to see if it's ok for the comp.

 Sweetpeas you can do just about anything in the enhanced.... The only major stipulation is it must be one image... You can make copiies of it & use it in different layers if you want as guideline 6 says.. Also remember about 6a too:wink:

Hope that clears it up Sweetpeas....:thmb:
