[IMG] Well done to Woo for winning last month. With his superb photo "More of the Same"..!! [IMG]

:) I have talked to Woo & he has asked me to set this months competition for him. He sends his Thanks to everyone for voting for his photo & will be back on line again very soon.. :thmb:
So this months theme is..!! " Garden Reflections"..!! "
What we want are reflections of plants, Trees or garden or gardening related scenes...!
You might be out walking or it might be a plant indoors.. We want you to catch their reflections in windows, mirrors, water, whatever gives you a reflection... For instance a car window can give you interesting distortions... Then enhance it a little or a lot, or not allot, that is your choice....!

:thmb: So come on everybody , I am sure there is something for all of us here maybe we will be able to try something new...!!
:thmb: You are all so good at interpreting the themes in your own individual ways and get better at it all the time..!!! This really is a nice broad theme. A chance to photograph & do something special
    .!!

    Good Luck Everyone.. [IMG]

Can everyone please look at Guideline 6 before entering as there is a slight change. Just about everyone does it anyway I know. Allot of you have commented on how it helps when trying to make decisions on votes, if they are included. So we have made it part of the competition now to keep everything fair & square for everyone...!

A Competition for Enhanced Photographic Images.

For Photos taken within the given month, enhance/improved with the use of post picture processing software.

Reasons you may wish to enhance a photo could be to compensate for mistakes made when taking the photo, or indeed to change its atmosphere completely. For example reverting to black and white or maxing out the contrast for a really vibrant sunset.

To ensure we have common starting place for competing, a few ground rules have been established. These will ensure a common standard of submission and ensure photographs are comparable for voting at the end of the month

    Please follow the guidelines below:-

1.All entries to be submitted by 23.59Hrs on the last day of the month of the competition.
    2. You can enter up to three (3) pictures.
    3. Give your picture a title
    4. Post your photos within this thread for entry into the competition.
5.Photos have to be taken within the current competition month & year

    * "Competitors are advised that they should ensure that their camera's time and date function is set correctly as EXIF data attached to most images is available to moderators and other competitors. *

6.You CAN use software for enhancement or manipulation of a single original image . This may include submission of an image comprising multiple layers of the original image.
Any image deemed to be more than one single image of multi layers, will be deleted.. Mods decision is final.
6a Please include a small thumbnail of the original photo no more than 150 pixels & a short explanation of what modifications you have done...

    7. The winner will be decided by votes by the users of the forum.

    8. The winner of the competition gets to choose the theme for the next month's competition. This theme is to be kept a separate & different theme from the" Current Monthly Photo Comp" theme.

Please post discussion for this months pictures and about the competition HERE.

:thmb: The very best of luck to you all this month !!

    wet green ball thing

    Crop image
    Duplicate layer,multiply save.
De saturate,re paint the ball thing with the history brush.
    Usual suspects,(B&C,curves,levels).
Create new layer, fill with black.Erase all at circa 48%,erase ball at circa 75%.
    (this creates a vignette ;) )
    sharpen,add ©,name etc.

This was the only garden reflection type thing that I came across. Its something that my other arf had put in the borders of her garden.
I think the dew adds a nice touch.
