    :WINK1:
Dave W has chosen for this months theme..
    " Is Spring, Springing"..??!!
    In Dave's own words..
 So come on every body, I am sure there is something for all of us out there somewhere.. It is an interesting theme that we are all interested in so I am sure some of you
will be trying something out or something new..!!
:) Enhancement is up to you.. Not allot, or allot..!! :D:scratch: Check the Guidelines if you haven't entered before, but the competition is open to all members..!! :dbgrtmb: You are all so good at interpreting the themes in your own individual ways & get better all the time..!! It really is a good theme too..!! :WINK1:

A chance to photograph something & make it special..
    :D
So come on everybody come & see what you can do..
Please keep all discussions for the Monthly comps HERE please....!!!

    Good Luck..!!

Can everyone please look at Guideline 6 before entering as there is a slight change.

Just about everyone does it anyway I know. Allot of you have commented on how it helps when trying to make decisions on votes, if they are included. So we have made it part of the competition now to keep everything fair & square for everyone...!

A Competition for Enhanced Photographic Images.
For Photos taken within the given month, enhance/improved with the use of post picture processing software.
For whatever reasons you may wish to enhance a photo could be to compensate for mistakes made when taking the photo, or indeed to change its atmosphere completely. For example reverting to black and white or maxing out the contrast for a really vibrant sunset.

To ensure we have common starting place for competing, a few ground rules have been established. These will ensure a common standard of submission and ensure photographs are comparable for voting at the end of the month..

    Please follow the guidelines below:-

1.All entries to be submitted by 23.59Hrs on the last day of the month of the competition.

    2. You can enter up to three (3) pictures.

    3. Give your picture a title

    4. Post your photos within this thread for entry into the competition.

5.Photos have to be taken within the current competition month & year

    * "Competitors are advised that they should ensure that their camera's

time and date function is set correctly as EXIF data attached to most

images is available to moderators and other competitors. *

6.You CAN use software for enhancement or manipulation of a single original image . This may include submission of an image comprising multiple layers of the original image.Any image deemed to be more than one single image of multi layers, will be deleted..
    Mods decision is final.

6a Please include a small thumbnail of

the original photo no more than 150 pixels & a short explanation of

    what modifications you have done...

    7. The winner will be decided by votes by the users of the forum.

    8. The winner of the competition gets to choose the theme for the next month's competition. This theme is to be kept a separate & different theme from the" Current Monthly Photo Comp" theme.

    Users Vote Guidelines below:-
    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.
    2. Competitors vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - The photograph with the most vote points wins etc
    3. Competitors votes should not be cast until after the competition closes and be in before 11.59pm three days after the competition closes.
All Members of the forum get to join in & vote not just those who have entered..
    Thanks & have fun everyone..
    Marley Farley.

After cropping created pseudo HDR image by combining two copies of the original at +3 and -3 EV with the original. Used Tone Mapping in Photomatix to do this. Then in Photoshop tweaked curves slightly and then added borders in Paintshop.
