Getting an explosion of flowers now the weathers warming up

 

I had a plant that was given to me a few years ago by a friend who lived in Brazil for many years. He had some very big plants in his conservatory which I'd admired in the past. Well the plant he gave me seemed to grow every year but never flowered. Its leaves also kept dying back. So when I bought a bag of cactus compost & I had lots left over I decided to repot my succulents using this compost.

When I got around to doing this plant I found the compost it was in was sopping wet! I thought I had done well with not watering very often but as the pot was very heavy I could never be sure. So as I went to remove the old compost the plant started to fall apart in my hands! I ended up putting 4 or 5 pieces in small individual pots in the new compost. They seem to be doing alright & they are growing again. I hope to see some flowers - sometime!

 

These plants need to be pot bound to flower, never sit in water and feed about twice a year.
