What a lovely day today, did some potting up in the rain this morning but it's now too hot! so browsing on computer.

I fancy trying to grow Eremurus, I've looked them up on the RHS site and they look quite a challenge, does anyone grow them and if so which one?

    Cheers

The fence is 6 feet. Dead easy. plant in autumn, deep and forget it.

And the corm compared with a tulip bulb. -

Wow thanks John, that's impressive, have you got just the one?

I know 02 I'm a wimp, my garden is quite a sun trap and I'm not aclimeatised (sp) used to the sun yet!!!

At at least £10 a corm I thought I'd try it with just one. Now it's on it's second year I thought I would wait for babies. It's not that (just because) I am cheap but I love to propagate my own where I can So I'll wait for babies which should be here in a couple of years.

And if it attached itself to John's face, it would hurt.:D

That is for robustus. I think the smaller one's are less impressive but are cheaper. Try eBay in autumn. There is a seller called 'Val's Plants' on eBay. She isn't cheap (that sounds dreadful) but might be a bit better (even with postage) than your local GC. You can't plant now anyway.
