ericaceous mulch

    what can i use safely on ericaceous beds to mulch. Ihave put down eric. compost but it says it needs to be kept wet. I want something to reduce the watering . But am getting different advice from different garden centres. Also would a loam based ericaceous compost be better than a peat based, which i think i bought.

    Peat would be fine to use, as would composted bark [​IMG]

    Hi lionrosemarie

    If you can get hold of any fern, pine needles eg recycled xmas trees. Thet will be fine :D
