    hi there
am new to this game so bare with me.
I am looking for some advice on erodiums, I know they are part of the geraniace family so linked to the geraniums Iam interested in propagating from a couple of varities I have bought does any one know/ have any advice, I have heard they have a single root system so can not be split like geraniums so I guess cuttings are the way forward any advice?
    cheers

Seed is produced by some of the alpine Erodiums, but you need to look carefully and quickly or they have gone. Otherwise cuttings it is. They do root fairly easily. Fairly normal stem tip cuttings in late Summer is what I have done in the past.

Erodium exists in many varieties which generally speaking, like to be exposed to full sunshine. Some varieties don't mind a dry soil.
You can propagate erodium through seeds, which doesn't guarantee the same characteristics, or through cuttings, at the start of the spring.
Perennial varieties can as well be propagate simply by dividing the plant at the roots at the start of the autumn or during spring.
Erodium is an easy plant to look after and is suitable for rockeries.
