What next! This is just another way to rip people off and make use of their hard earned cash!

Are we being told that it's okay to ride motorcycles, cars and anything else motorised on private land but not ride-on lawnmowers. Great Britain should never have joined the EU and now our nation is suffering big style for it!!!

I'll get back in my pram now.

Good evening just a little bit of trivia,In the past 12 months, 530 people had to be admitted for hospital treatment in England, and a number of fatalities as well,Personally it will only affect yours truly if my push mower is included

Makes me want to go out and buy a ride on.
          Then not insure it.

The car I bought recently had that silly circular star effect on the no plates, the EU symbol.
That soon got a bit of tape put over it.
Not sure about Lapland, cloud cuckoo land is a bit more like it.

But we already buy compulsory insurance against accidental injuries. It's called 'National Insurance'.

What a load of old cobblers! There's always some idiot that tries to think up new regulations. It'll never happen because of all the other problems it would raise.

Same as they suggested we can only grow straight cucumbers and we could no longer grow King Edward potatoes.

They also tried to limit the amount of cinnamon in pastries :hate-shocked: because too much coumarin (the chemical in cinnamon) can be bad for you. Of course, the cinnamon they were referring to is different from the cinnamon we use in cooking - but nobody told them that

To be fair, lots of things are suggested in the EU and at home but they never get through a vote - but they do waste time and money on it.

The Telegraph is notorious for printing these 'scare' stories as though they're absolutely certain they will be passed into law. Some of them are true, some are suggestions from some idiot and some are total fabrication on a slow news day.

When I first read these sort of things my immediate reaction is "Oh Yeah!!! :th scifD36:" :snork:

If the grass outside is on their own land then it's not public highway. If it belongs to the Council it's public land but I'm not sure about highway. If it's considered highway then the authorities should cut it.

Even at present you need a licence if you drive your ride-on on the public highway - but I don't know about insurance.
