European Eagle Owl at Pets At Home

    Saw this European Eagel Owl at our local Pets At Home store yesterday courtesy of Icarus Falconry....:)

    There was also a Peregrine Falcon there with hood on but he looked lost against the Owl which I was allowed to stroke as well:)

    Fantastic creatures, now that is what I call good PR, get the kids in to see the birds of prey, maybe they'll pick up an hamster.............................and you never know what the kids might buy as well lol.

    Lolli,I think Icarus and Pets at Home were doing a good thing with having the birds at their shop because as you say it attracts people to the shop to buy pets and products,plus Icarus can use the advertising to sell their Falconry Experience days because they are based in one of the large country houses in the area so don't do much trade in the winter months when the house is shut to the general public.Icarus came to our village fun day in the summer and are often at the local Wyevale garden centres,which brings in even more trade for them and the garden center so everyone benefits,not that Wyevale are short of a bob or two:D
