Evening, whis4ey. That's rather useful. There was a discussion recently about this and someone (sorry, I can't remember who) put something up. I do know it was my Sis, Kedi-Gato asking.

In case anyone doesn't know ... I'm in that hot red bit (10), bottom left, left of Seville, just past the jutty out bit (not the jutty out bit in the sea)! :D

I think the thing that amazes me is how much colder it is in parts of Europe than it is where I live.
There is even a bit of 7 in North Africa, presume thats the Atlas Mountains.

On looking back, it has a lot of Portugal in 9 and central Portugal is actually hotter than Algarve, just like central Spain is. They can be in the 40s most of the summer.

It is the winter temp, 9 is quite good but I've even a few 10s that have been left out all winter and survived. [IMG]

    Thanks Whis4ey for the posting.

    I think I am borderline between 6 and 7.

Makes more sense, pete. [IMG] Central Portugal and Spain have lots of frost and we don't. Silly me! [IMG]

I always thought I was a 7 but appears I am an 8 roll on global warming - only joking, I always over estimate as far as my plant babies are cencerned.

Thanks whis4ey. Like Pete I am always amazed how cold parts of mainland Europe are, and Turkey as well. I had not seen the hotspot round Birmingham before.

But there are also local factors at work. One side of my town is higher and distinctly colder than the other side.
