ever made dolls out of hollyhocks flowers....?

.... The fully opened flowers are the skirts, half opened flowers the torsos, and buds are the heads. They are all held together with a little stick.....

On the subject of making things from plants i came across this site (http://www.lobzik.pri.ee/modules/news/article.php?storyid=244) a few months ago which shows you how to make a bunch of roses from Norway maple leaves

 

wow - that composition is magnificent

 

I'm determined come autumn i'm going to be out in the woods collecting fallen leaves to make this, it would look great as a centre piece for Christmas dinner:D
