    Hi,

I am very new to gardening, live in Suffolk and have a south-east gable wall that i would like to grow an evergreen and flowering combination of climbers. (see attached picture).

I would like to keep the wall green all year round and have a lot of flowers during spring and summer. Is a combination of 2 types enough?

I initially looked at a combination of a Viticella Clematis and a climbing rose, however the clematis isn't evergreen and i do not want the front of the house looking like a 'wirey' mess in the winter months.

Since, i have looked at other evergreen clematis' but as i am quite inexperienced i don't know if these would be too vigorous to combine with a rose climber? I then started to look at other evergreen climbers such as Honeysuckle and Star Jasmine but i can't seem to find information on what flowering climbers would work well with these?

    Ground is Chalk.

Colour preference to be very pale, so whites, cream and pale pinks/lavender colours.

I have weatherboarding so am not sure if i have to be overly cautious with this?

Sorry, for the essay, i have lots of overwhelming thoughts/questions swirling around in my head :gaah:

Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Nicole
