Evergreen Climber

    Hi, Have just built a pergola over our pond and need to plant evergreen climbers that grow quite fast but can be kept under control - I know to avoid Russian Ivy!!! Any other ideas.....................

    Clematis Armandii - evergreen and a lovely scent in Spring. Some honeysuckles are also evergreen and again you get the bonus of that heavenly scent in summer.

    You could have evergreen Honeysuckle, there are several evergreen Clem atis or Hydrangea seemanii, Then there is the Passionflower, Sollya and Trachelospermum.:gnthb:

    aye, put down ttwo of them to hide an ugly wall about a month ago, both have about 2 ft of growth already(just the main stem) but i'm well impressed, nice heavy green leaves, perfect for what i want..:gnthb:
