For those of you that haven't seen Avenue Q, it's an internationally acclaimed musical that has won a number of top awards and been nominated for many more.

It broke records on Broadway, ran for 5 years in the West End and has been very successfully on tour for 10 years.

Although essentially a satirical comedy it has pathos and a lot of social comment.

A brief revue puts it fairly simply:-
"The Tony Award-winning Avenue Q is an irresistibly charming and wickedly funny musical about the lovably hopeless characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life’s burning issues: love, work, relationships and, above all, just how are you supposed to pay the bills with a BA in English?"

It's most definitely not suitable for children but is a brilliant night out for adults - as long as you're fairly open minded.
