I've been looking back through pics taken in June 2011 and everything seems so much later than last year.

Veg - My Salsify was in full bloom on 20th May 2011 and had fluffy seed heads on 31st May 2011, but I've not even seen a flower bud yet this year. On the 4th June 2011 I was cutting garlic scapes that had curled through 360 degrees, but this year there's only a few just begining to peep through the top leaves.

Fruit - I was picking blackcurrants on 5th June 2011, but there's not one showing any sign of ripening yet this year. On 12th June 2011 there were hundreds and hundreds of apples bigger than golf balls where this year my apple trees either have no apples at all or only about a dozen tiny fruit.

Flowers - The flowers on my 'feral' patch of day lillies were almost finished on 6th June 2011, but no flowers yet this year.

Wild Stuff - On 30th May 2011 there were orchids flowering in profusion in my rough grassy areas, but this year the first flowers have only just started showing. On 5th June last year the blackberries were in full bloom, but this year the first flowers only opened a couple of days ago (on the 9th June 2011 there were lots of green blackberry fruits).

We started eating our early spuds around two weeks later than last year's date, even though they were planted at approx the same date.
