Earlier on I asked if anyone had experience of Marshalls' "misted tips" strawberry plants, and apparently nobody had. It's a technique for bringing on runners, and is more expensive than regular bare-rooted plants. I decided to order some anyway and they arrived this morning. I'm always a bit nervous of buying mail-order, but credit where it's due, they really are cracking little plants, well rooted, with 4/5 good sized leaves and very healthy looking. I've just spent the morning preparing a bed and planting them, and with the soil so warm, I reckon they will establish very quickly. I'm pleased!
