    It's a crab spider, I had one on a rose last week.
    They don't spin webs, they lie in wait for pollinating insects then grab them and kill by poisonous bite to the neck.
    Usually found on pale flowers, whites, yellows etc. they can change colour over 2 or 3 days if they have to change flower type.

    Cheers DM I had no idea. Babe, I think it was the go faster stripes that I liked the most. :D

    I have no idea where it came from or how long it will sick around ? I do like spiders in the garden, eating as many flying pests as possible ! I am glad they aren't in your league though !

    I just lost all I posted so here goes again.

    Babe, keep your little critter there. I don't have such here. I have the normal spiders, geckos, snakes, whatever, don't want your odd lookig critters!

    I posted a pic of mine a couple of days ago in the "whats buzzing around" thread on the 16th, sat in a faded bloom of rose Calypso. It caught a bee not long after I took the pic.
