Having taken dozens of cuttings and planted them in compost and vermulite, I am left with 12, some of which appear to be alive. I first soaked the growing medium and then planted the cuttings. They were in my shed and I then brought the survivors into the house, on the advice of members, where they have light. I even used used hormone powder on some.

The mother plants on the patio are still in flower. Is it too late to take more cuttings?

    Hi Mike.

I suspect that it may be too late. Geraniums are very sensitive to light, and I suspect that the light levels are really too low now. However there is nothing to be lost by trying. I would only do it in the house. Temperature levels are so low outside that Geraniums and other plants are in the process of going dormant.
