Nobody wants to see a major accident where someone is injured or worse but were the fans cheated today?

I think it was unacceptable to send out the drivers so they could get a classification for the Belgium Grand Prix, which seems to be the case. Was this a political decision so they don't have to reimburse the fans, a cancellation of the race without any laps completed would of triggered the refund policy.

Well not my kind of racing at the best of times, but the money that is involved in that "sport" they can definitely pay the fans their money back and should.

The fans were robbed. I don't know what it costs to attend a F1 meeting these days, my friend went to the Belgian F1 and it was £150, 20 years ago.
Just had a look at an F1 price, it says from 305€. So a sizeable chunk of money, also the famous "from" prices are never available at any venue, F1, holidays, theatre, etc.

I don't follow it, but I wonder if they staged the 3 lap procession so they didn't have to refund the fans.

            They can afford to refund.
