I was going to pose a question as to, How can I make a 'restaurant' style curry at home ? (as they are very costly !!! ).

I then did a quick Google first and came up with this site ....... www.curryfrenzy.com , you should see the amount of recipes for different curries  , very easy to find your favouraite curry, as they are all in alphabetical order [IMG]

Hope this helps someone else as well.

    Nathan.

Thanks for that Nathan, I have done my own curries in the past and never got the same result as a restaurant curry but now I might try again with some of these. [IMG]

That is the thing isn't it, you can always make a curry, but it's never like a restaurant .

Hope they do taste as good as a restaurant ..... There is only one way to find out ;)

Am about to order a book called The Curry Secret from a well-known bookstore online - very cheap and sounds interesting! But this site looks fantastic!
Only way I can get Mr M into the kitchen is to get him to cook a curry! He's very good and has adapted a few recipes to our taste and they are excellent!!

Thanks Nathan - maybe I can have a few more nights off whilst he experiments! ;)

Ive got a fab Indian Restaurant Cook Book....but it's been a while since I've made one. Even had a go at making my own chappatis once, but they were a disaster. Grey in colour and just as tasty!! Great site, will give a couple of the recipes a go. Thanks!

I bought Mr m a book from Amazon about how to make curries taste authentic and you have to have a basic sauce which you add things to - you can cook a big batch and freeze it - will look out the book cos cant rem what its called [IMG] He makes a mean indian dish - but soemtimes a little too hot for me ;)
Just remembered it s called The Curry Secret!

The hotter the better! I'm a vindaloo girl, love the potatoes they put in it. Also like the potato and spinach dish, is it Aloo something? I can see a potato theme! Think Ghee is the important ingredient, and you're supposed to cook the spices first. I've often done this on a bit too high a heat and almost choked myself on the fumes!

Good Grief!!!!! HOW EASY does the Chicken Byriani look!!!!!!!???????

The boys love them - so long as they aren't too hot........

Home made stuff is so much better for you as you control what goes in them - lees fat, salt, sugar and nasties - and way cheaper than the shop bought jars!!!!
