I have read a lot of good reports of this company from the forums .
But then I looked at reviews on the site itself and several were off putting , so now I'm not sure that it would be beneficial if I received packets with nothing but compost and no bulbs. I was wondering about Foxtail lilies and crocus.
They seem to have many different ones which appeal to me..
    But ...............

Personally, anything you buy online is a gamble, plant wise at least.
I avoid buying plants online if I can get them elsewhere.

I've sent for bulbs from Farmer Gracy for two years running and they're hopeless. Many of them don't come up at all and the ones that do are nothing like they should be.

I used them for the first time this year for gladioli and colocasia, all perfectly good I have no complaints. They were good value too. They import everything from Holland as do similar companies like jparkers and many garden centres.

will the plants be despatched from an outlet in the UK or do the bulbs come straight from Holland ?
I'm tempted to try a small order as by the looks of it they would be delivered next month.

I've bought plenty off Farmer Gracy I usually raid them when they have heavy discounts near the end of the year . I've only had one problem with a rot bulb and got a refund full value of the bulb ( I bought it for less ) I quite like FG but they are on the pricey side but the sales are good value and you usually get free P+P and voucher offers . They come direct from Holland

I'd recommend Anglia Bulbs if you want top quality big bulbs , I'll be buying some Eremrus of these this year , my last lot come from FG but the winter killed 2 out of 3. I probably raid FG again this winter in the sales

              Hi

they are over priced as if you google the same product you will find it cheaper

I have used them and the bulbs are small and I bought Colocasia as it was cut down into the most small bits to get more ££ out the original (not cheap) all dried out, I moaned they sent another batch as bad as the first and one grew but not much I wont bother again .. much better other companies to use

              Spruce

I agree Pete,I'd rather see what I'm getting but these days in these parts the good nurseries are very few and far between,it's such a shame, the odd nurseries we have are more like super markets which annoys the heck out of me.

lolimac this is what annoys me too I get frustrated when I have to almost push my way through a group of customers oooing and aaarring around a collection of jams and cakes .

                  Everything is so close together
my first thought is of fire or any other emergency where you have to get out.

This for a start puts me off going . Then the plants are not all together they are dotted about amongst a display of knitted jumpers pkt s of biscuits then a corner where you can't even get to the biulbs et c

                  :love30: I'm having a moan .. ....... An old age moan :oldlady:

                  Just ignore me:thinking:

I have received my small order from farmer grace plus a free tote bag, which will come in handy!
The bulbs are excellent condition so I shall see how they flower .
