My Granddaughter and her young man came round to our house for a visit.
After she had introduced us to the lad I noticed his Attire.

He had tight fitting black jeans, that made his legs look like chicken legs.
He wore a long black jacket which came to about 4 inches above his Knees.

My Wife noticed me having a good look, with a Wry smile on my face, and she said,
"Do you remember when you dressed like that?".

At that time I was thinking to myself,"Surely To God I Didn't look like that" !!!.
I Did :runforhills:.I was like him many years ago ,with my Finger Tip Jacket,Drain Pipe Trousers, String Tie and my Brothel Creeper Shoes, and I thought I WAS,
    ,The Bees Knees,:dancy:.
When I think back now I Looked More Like MAX WALL.:yikes:.

Has Anyone seen any Styles/Fashions you wore when you were younger ,that have came back in fashion ???. :blue thumb:.

I hope the "hanging off the bum cheeks, crotch at knee-level, y-fronts on full display" trouser fashion dies out soon and never comes back.

I've lived through cheesecloth and leggings two times now. Loved the first both times, I think I'm too old for the second now. I don't think leggings look good on even the youngest and skinniest, actually.

Funny how Crimplene has never reappeared.

I haven't seen animal skin loinclothes come back into fashion but clubs are wielded occasionally!

We needed warm animal skins as our caves used to get quite cold in the winter :heehee:

I hope you did the right thing, and told him how much you appreciated him dressing according to the fashion of your youth, in your honour, and then digging out photos to prove that his new trendy outfit has been around before:)

I once told off a lad in the kebab shop for such fashion. I told him firmly and loudly, 'pull your trousers up lad, didn't your mother teach you how to dress yourself? This is a food establishment we don't want to see your 'behind' when we're about to eat'. The chaps behind the counter were in stitches, and this lad, taken aback, did in fact pull his trousers up.

Good to see stiletto heels back in fashion again. I LOVED stilettos, still think they are the most flattering footwear for women.

If the early 80s come round again, tough. I'm not sitting for hours in a bath of ice cold water waiting for my jeans to shrink to skin tight again.

Remember for a short time from about 1997 to 2001 jeans went completely out of fashion with the younger generation, but now they're back as strong as ever!

I think leggins made a short come back, still people wear them.
