    morning all :)

wifey has asked what i want for farvers day, and i thought a nice plant. now, i dont want her spending much but i'm stuck on what to get?

    criteria:-

    it must be hardy
    perennial or evergreen
fit in with a exotic planting if put in the border i've started.

it can also go in a stand alone pot if nessasary but with this, give height, colour and good interest.

over to you guys and girls. i've a day to decide :blue thumb:

Garden vouchers - available at garen centres, nurseries and places like Homebase in denominations from £1 upwards. That way you get the pressie but can wait until you find just the right plant, cos you know the old saying, 'plant in haste, swear about it for ever!' :)

sambucus black tower or sambucus black beauty

will cost under £10 from a garden centre and blends in well with a tropical style garden

or ... if you don't have any of the following: musa basjoo or a T-Rex ... musa can be bought from a garden centre, but T-Rex will have to be bought from ebay or online

my local homebase has a good selection of washies in, so i'll get one of those. along with a couple more calla's.

i'll move the washie in the garage or shed come winter (i'll plant it in a pot)
