Fatsia Propagation

    I hava a fatsia at the bottom of my garden quite sheltered and I have noticed new growth at the bottom would I be able to tease this away and plant it on [​IMG]

    Hi Nathan,don't know much about them myself but I think there are some members on here that will be able to put you right about the plant.i am sure someone was talking about them last year.Nice specimen though :cool:

    I've got one Nathan. The best time to take it off is in high summer, July and August.

    You should be able to cut the young plant away from the main stem and should have it's own root system and then pot it up but keep it out of direct summer sun for a while. [​IMG]

    Failing that, wait till it flowers then collect the black seeds they germinate dead easy, even when they drop on the ground you will see them poping up everywhere.
