Hi Windy Yes you can,The best time is either MAY or JUNE,If its a single leaf make sure there is a bud Between the leaf and the axis of the main stem ,without the bud they can last a long time but eventually they will die off,I have used two leaves cutting dipped in hormone powder and put in sandy, gritty soil .Sometimes If I use two big leaves I cut the leaves in half.Hope this helps. I started mine off 2yrs ago when had no greenhouse, in spare bedroom on windowsill. In an unheated propagator, just put them one in each small pot and into greenhouse, they should'nt take too long to germinate, I kept mine inside for first winter then hardened them off and they've been outside ever since. Still got 4 sitting there in pots cos I don't want them, got enough!

Don't know I'm part of the college but I do my course at Ness Botanic gardens, but have to sit my 2 RHS exams at the college in Feb and June next yr. Did my hanging basket practical at the college garden centre before Xmas.
