Fatsia spider web

    After been looking to buy one for ages , even booked one at amurlee , walked in my local garden center and picked one up for £15

      Its huge! They are slow-ish growing, so I reckon you got a bargain at that price :). Keep the frost off it, IME the growing tip gets knocked back by the frost (perhaps just when young though?)

      I agree about frost. I planted the normal F Varieata last spring and the newest leaves frosted. This winter as it was about to flower it got frosted gain, it still hasn't produced new growth yet. IMO they are not as hardy as claimed and definitely not as hardy as the type .You may be lucky if you have a sheltered spot.

        good buy sal!!!

        the variagated and the normal ones i bought last year are doing great, new growth and healthy. the one that i originally bought grew brilliantly, but the wind we had last week took a fence panel out and it hit my biggest fatsia snapping it it half. gutted!!

          Mine also got knocked a bit by the frost.
          Hopefully it will recover from a side shoot??
