Here is a selection of some of my favourite summer blooms. I have terrible problems keeping Delph's and Lupins going from year to year. I think the roots get eaten! Here are some shots I've taken in the past.

Oh, superb, Roders .. it's gorgeous! A friend of mine on the IoW gave me an offshoot in 2001 / 02 which I brought here and put in my rockery (mostly rock, I might add) and I had four beautiful blooms this year (just finished) but in the dark blue. A couple of years ago it had eight blooms ... but sadly I was in England at the time and missed it. They're worth waiting for ... a truly beautiful flower! [IMG]

Two of my twenty agapanthus have flowered (two years old from seed) but I bet they won't bloom every year as they can be irratic in the ground, I think they like being pot bound(like strelitzias), they are the common headbourne hybrid type, so nothing fancy although I do still hanker for purple cloud. I should have bought it when I saw it in Ness gardens last year. [IMG]

I find they flower reliably if grown in a good open sunny position and given a feed or two after flowering to build them up for next year.
Mine have become overgrown by other plants and need moving, its also far too dry for them this year. [IMG]
