I love scented plants - especially the ones which waft their smell around, rather than things you have to sniff! On a hot, still day the smell of jasmine is absolutely wonderful. I also love honeysuckle - especially Lonicera americana, which has a very sophisticated perfume (generally described as 'clove'). Daphne odora is lovely too - I still miss my plant, which recently died on me  (I think it is a little temperamental). Last spring, we took a walk in the woods around Sissinghurst at bluebell time. The hyacinth scent was gorgeous.:)

I like almost all the scents in the garden which change depending on the time of year. As we have a large garden we are blessed with being able to have a goodly range of nicely smelling plants.

As well as the plants I don't think you can beat the smell of newly mown grass or freshly dug soil. Even the smell of a bonfire on the late evening air is very evocative of lazing in a chair watching the sunset.

I wasn't all that keen on the smell when the pig farm did its muck spreading on the field behind us. :heehee:

I love the smell of roses too and have a whole bed of David Austen roses in front of the kitchen window, which in summer is wonderful, also love the smell of Viburnum 'Bodnantense Dawn', 'Osmanthus' and 'Cimicifuga' which I bought a couple of years ago, amazing scent.

I love all scents in the garden.
Nothing better than to walk up the garden early evening and take it all in.
But my favourite ' not a plant ' but the sent of freshly moan grass.
And the rain after a dry sunny day.

Love my viberum shrubs. Have them stationed so the wind drifts the wonderful smell to me on my deck.

I love the smell of Pelargonium foliage.

I also like many herbs. I have many different mints in a range of 'flavours'. I always find that smelling something such as sage or rosemary makes my stomach rumble and reminds me of a roast dinner :thumb:

Also, the smell of tomato plants has a distinctivly summer smell about them.

I have been told im wierd for liking the smell of choisya foliage. I think it is similar to basil, whereas others think it smells like cat pee.

Before I (early) retired, the fragrance from the honeysuckle blooms early of a morning during May would always have a mitigating impact on my walk down the garden to the garage for the drive to work.

Peony's - that's the scent that stops me in my tracks. The wonderful "soapy" strong scent just makes me stick my nose in that wonderful mass of petals and fill my lungs - out of this world!!

There are so many, I couldn't pick one out, so I asked the wife.

Without hesitation, she said Rosemary. I have to agree. At the end of a (rare) hot summer's day, when you sit outside with your glass of merlot and the evening breeze brings the uplifting smell of rosemary across. Fantastic.
