What veg can't you wait to see come to fruition. I love growing marrows and pumpkins. I get so excited when I see the tiny little fruits. My other half thinks I'm mad

Cucumbers due to the fact that talking about planting them was the last thing my gramps said to me before he died as odd as that is lol

Sugar snap peas. I never get to cook any, I just eat them in the garden as they ripen- and I never plant enough!

Like Golcarlilly, - the first red cherry toms. Seeing the first few "Blue Lake" beans is a joy, and I sometimes just sit and chill out in bliss in the greenhouse when the first sweet peppers and Jalapenos ripen.
I'll get a big buzz if the "Clemson's Spineless" Okra plants fruit this year, not to mention the sweet potatoes....... :)

    cheers,
    Dave

I too love the smell of tomato plants!!
I grow courgettes, not marrows! Yes, I know they're basically the same thing, but I love stuffed courgette flowers!
I am trying radishes for the first time this year, they will soon be ready, and my carrots are coming up - I already picked some rocket and nasturtium leaves for salad garnish.

Funnily enough, although I am happy with anything that matures....I become really happy when my beetroots grow and my Chinese cabbage doesn't go to seed.

You can get loads of chips from a potato that is three feet tall.

Oh and Spincach...I forgot to mention spinach. :):)
I kow it is the easiest to grow but there is a big tast difference in home grown and shop bought plus I'm quite partial to it.:D

I have to hang my head in shame and say that I have not tended my Mum's garden as well as I should have this year but the spinach in her garden is doing pretty good too, in fact it is bolting as fast as it can.:D
