    Users Vote Guidelines below:-

    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.

    2. Please vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points, 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - The photograph with the highest points wins. NO VOTES FOR 2 1ST PLACES ETC

    3. Votes should be cast within three days after this thread starting.

    All members of the forum get a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures.


    The Winner of the competition chooses the theme for the next competition. So put your thinking caps on incase you are the winner ;)

    Considering this is the first time this section has run there were many superb entries. Using my "hang on the wall" criterion I've, with some difficulty, reduced my initial list.

    1 - Paladin - Early Christmas Card (it works brilliantly)
    2 - Petal - Buried Groyne (well chosen processing of a well composed photo)
    3 - Frogesque - Alien Invasion ( I can imagine this as a poster sized print )

    Framed and sitting on the floor waiting for me to find space to hang them are -

    Woo's - Something Simple (simple treatment produced a picture with atmosphere and impact)
    Marley's - Stormy Waters (eye catching and makes one want to look into it)
    Marge's - Blossom (simple processing enhanced the subject effectively)

    1st petal: H2 Shadow. - I love the composition and the Dali/Vettriano look to this. Well done!

    2nd petal: Buried Groyne. - Again, good composition and subject with not too much manipulation.

    3rd. Paladin: Early Christmas Card - Just so's I can say Bah! Humbug! :D

    Well done everyone. It was a very hard call considering this is the first time for a creative comp.

    Ok - here goes -

    1) HAS TO BE - Froggy's Alien Invasion - fantastic picture!!!

    2) Woo's Car-wash - those colours are terrific - blinding stuff, WOO!

    3) DaveW's River's End - such a beautiful picture, and looking good on the canvas effect.

    A really nice bunch of pictures to choose from, and a wide range of styles - which made it even harder. Great stuff everyone! :D

    1st Frogesque "Alien Invasion" -WOW! far and away the best photo on this site! should be submitted to some of the photo mags or at least onto flickr etc for those people who haven't discovered this forum to enjoy. I love it!

    2nd DaveW "Mirror Mirror" great photo with added humour!

    3rd Petal "H2 Shadow" stunningly simple.

    well done everyone - good to see so many varied entries and maybe i'll try to enter something a bit more elaborate next month
